Having days ago completed my long post covering
2014's Black List loglines, today I noticed a screenwriting blogger offering free logline appraisals*:
Jared Gordon.
Jared offers screenplay coverage too, naturally, and
here's an example of his work. Curious, I looked it over: it's good stuff. Based on that work alone it's reasonable to assume Jared knows his logline-fu.
Now, of course, the free logline offer exists to get you thinking about Jared's other script services. But, from my brief perusal of his site, Jared strikes me as someone who loves curating language, loves pounding ideas into shape, loves the process as much as the product. I expect he enjoys wrestling loglines down to the mat and twisting them into submission, same as me, hence the "free." It's play, not work.
So, if it's free logline advice you want, and you've worn out your friends and family with your
How-about-this's and your
I've-got-one-more's, Jared waits at the other end of that Google submission form.
