Montecito Pictures Company buys supernatural action comedy "Monsters of the Midway" by writer Jeff Lowell. From THR:

    The plot details for Monsters are being kept in the dark, but the title says it all: an action comedy with supernatural overtones set in a carnival.

Lowell is repped by UTA and Management 360.

By my count, this is the 14th spec script to sell in 2011.

The 14th spec script didn't sell in 2010 until April 12th, so sales are up year-to-date.

Note: This is the 4th spec script to sell this week and 6th to sell in March.
