Vendome Pictures acquires thriller spec script “The Widow” from writer Ray Wright. From THR:

The psychological thriller centers on a young woman who befriends a lonely widow only to discover that their encounter was not a coincidence.

The popularity of thrillers continues unabated as we forge ahead into 2013.

Wright is repped by UTA.

By my count, this is 3rd spec script sale in 2013.

Last year at this time, there were 5 spec sales.
