No idea.  We've taken this thing through the ringer a couple different times...

This draft (first ten pages) lost the "hands of a great inside you" and the hotdog stand / dog scene prior to Lyle discussing his two-eyed monster problem.  I was sad to see the lads snip those  Undecided  But kill your darlings etc.

Ah-ha!  I knew it!  This is a different draft.  It moved quicker this time around.  But why would you guys get rid of the "hands of a great inside you" line?  That was a fantastic line.

So anyway, are you guys still working on this?  Or have you moved on to other things?

IIRC, those two scenes needed to be cut - they weren't crucial to the overall story.  But yeah, they were by no means bad.

I never saw your post on this JB.

We worked and worked on another draft of this and just couldn't get it to where we thought it should be as far as the stakes being raises etc.  To be honest the later drafts we thought when we added the deeper story, we lost flow to the script.  Maybe it was just us being attached to the original material or maybe it was just that we thought its worked being a simple rom-com.

But I don't think we've worked on it since 2009-ish.  We have been working on the same thing forever now and we suck for not working on it more because it's probably a much better idea.

So what are you guys working on now? And did I ever send you the opening I wrote for this one? I always try my own advice before giving it. Just don't remember if I sent it or not.

But anyway, you guys definitely shouldn't give up on it.

I don't think you did send it.  Send it over to my gmail.  And of course I can't talk about it publicly.
